Stained Glass Window Restoration
The stained glass windows have been removed and will be sent overseas for cleaning and repair. The restoration of this impressive and inspiring part of the Cathedral has been funded by our dear friends at the Mill Reef Fund.(click here) The Mill Reef Fund is one of the oldest contributors to the Restoration.

Chapel and Ground Floor Pew Boards Completed
The Ground Floor pew boards, Blessed Sacrament and Memorial Chapel floors have been completed. The pews have been brought in and stored on the ground floor level so I did not get a good shot of the completed floor boards in the nave.

Light It Up Blue
On 2 April, we lit the Cathedral blue. Even though we are under Restoration, we wanted to make a contribution to this global campaign.

More Blessed Help
We extend our heartfelt thanks to the Sacred Military Constantinian Order of St. George. They have contributed over $100,000.00 EC dollars to the Restoration with the promise of more to come. This wonderful gift demonstrates the blessed spirit of ecumenism of which we are happy to be a part.
Now let us press to get our Cathedral reopened.

Brass Candelabrum - Restored
The brass candelabrum has been restored. Our heart felt thanks to Robert Chelsom & company. Missing branches have been replaced, it is electrified with LED lights and a note has been placed inside for posterity.
It is in safe storage for now and it will be installed after most of the work has been completed inside the Cathedral.

"The race is not to the swift......
...nor the battle to the strong,.." Eccel 9:11
With the walls clad and most of the ceiling installed there is colour once again inside the Cathedral.
There is a lot of work still left to do. Life is a marathon not a sprint. As we pass the five year mark on this endeavour, we are reminded that the Restoration of St. John's Cathedral will be a marathon as well.
