"A Work Day" for the Cathedral

The vestry declared yesterday "A Work Day" for the Cathedral.  This was a day when men and women were invited to assist in getting some minor work done. The day began at 9:00 am and ended at 12 noon.  We were succesful in removing the remainder of the fans and speakers from inside the Cathedral.  Choir members, vestry members, clergy and the sexton of one of our district churches all came.  We even had a pastor from Idaho walk in and give us a hand.  He had arrived that morning on a cruise ship.

Once the fixtures were removed in record time the work team then cleaned out all of the recent construction debris from the removal of the ceiling.  The workmen will be pleasantly surprised tomorrow morning.
